When we joined Sellaband our expectations were to reach the goal in 458 years. Until then, we just hoped to get a clear view on what people think about our songs and we expected to find some people who share our musical taste.
We’ve all played live a lot and it’s fun most of the time. But you seldom get to talk with the audience. On SellaBand you learn more about what people think of you in a week than what a year of gigs can teach you.
By the time we reach 30K, we’ll have at least 30 songs. Believers will help to select the most loved ones. We’ll invite other Sellaband artists to join in and work something out. No need to put musicians on a plane. Since we have a lot of recording experience, we’ll be able to record and process a lot at home; then we can use the expensive studio time for what really makes a difference.
Every believer will receive one CD (at least, see incentives).
We record all instruments ourselves, but mixing and mastering will be done by a professional producer ... if he does a better job than us. To find out about that and to present you an example of how the tracks on the album will sound, we have "challenged" a pro to beat our master of "Stop The Bleeding", the believers song we promised you a year ago. You can listen to our version on our player. And when the pro producer has finished his, we'll present both versions for you to compare.
The money will be spent on:
- Sellaband fee: 3$K
- Recording and Mastering
- Photos and artwork.
- Burning & Shipping the CDs for the believers.
- Promotion - video clips.
